I loved my stay here, especially the delicious Scottish breakfast that set me up perfectly for a day of exploring the nearby stunning natural landscapes like Queen's View, which is just over 4 km away, and the fascinating Tomnaverie Stone Circle, only about 1.5 km from the hotel. with a friendly atmosphere and well-kept rooms, this place truly felt like a home base for my weekend adventure.

missingWrote a review on Sept 24cramped storage
The bike storage feels cramped, crowded with other items, making it impractical if you’re bringing gear. the décor in the rooms could use a refresh. they have a slightly dated feel, and parts of the furnishings seem worn. the coffee from the pot at breakfast didn’t hit the mark compared to ordering specific items like cappuccinos, which worked out better.

I loved the cozy vibe of my Standard Twin Room, and the food was truly amazing, especially the rib-eye steak! They have a great leisure room with comfy seating and a fun selection of board games. The bike storage was a bit cramped on the first night due to other items being stored, but overall, I’d definitely come back again! 😊

Had a blast with friends! Explored the great outdoors with mountain biking and horse riding. Had time for some water skiing nearby. The rooms were cozy and clean, and the staff were super friendly. Dining options were great too, especially breakfast. Go for the nearby activities, you won't regret it!
One downside was the bike storage, which was cramped with other stuff, making it tricky to store our bikes securely.

Just a prime choice for a concise stay in Tarland with best value for money ratio. Our food was yummy, especially the scampi! Order early as the lasagne might be too hot to eat right away.

The stay was highlighted by the friendly and accommodating staff, whose genuine attentiveness made a significant positive impact. Enjoyable meals, including fish and chips, complemented the clean and cozy room experience. the breakfast service was notably slow due to limited staff handling multiple tables, which was less than ideal. some waitstaff seemed overwhelmed, affecting service efficiency.
